This website is part of Mafka & Alakoski Oy's online store. The e-commerce platform is provided by Shopify. The online store is located in the EU area. Our webshop currently only delivers to customers in Finland.

We use cookies on the site to ensure the necessary operation of our service. In addition to necessary cookies, the user has the option to consent to the use of optional, non-functional cookies. With the help of these cookies, Shopify tailors and streamlines the user experience of our site. The user can withdraw his consent to the use of optional cookies at any time.

We collect such information from website users that they provide themselves, which is needed, for example, to process e-commerce transactions. We store users' user data for a maximum of 5 years from the last site visit, at a minimum for as long as it is legally necessary, for example for trading. The user can request the deletion of their data from our system at any time, and we will delete the data as soon as possible, however, taking into account, for example, legal obligations related to trading. The user can also request to see the information collected about him in our system.

To streamline the user experience, the user can create a user account in our online store. Information about the user relevant to trading and user experience is attached to the user account. The user can ask us to delete the account at any time, in which case the account will be deleted as soon as it is, for example, possible in terms of trading, typically within about 90 days. The user can at any time request to see the information stored in our system.

Through our online store, it is possible to join Mafka & Alakoski's mailing list, where newsletters and announcements are sent a few times a year. Mailing list membership can be canceled at any time by following the instructions attached to the list emails or by sending us an email directly requesting to be removed from the mailing list.

We do not disclose user data to third parties unless it is necessary. For example, in the case of online payments, we provide information necessary for processing the payment to Shopify and the payment processor we use. The supplier of our calendar reservation system, Servicify, collects information related to calendar reservations, which is needed for making calendar reservations, payment and communication related to appointments.

The Mafka & Alakoski personnel responsible for Mafka & Alakoski Oy's online store and mailing uses the user data entered into the system to process and deliver orders.

When a user joins the email list, his email address is sent to the mailing list service. The email list membership remains valid until the user cancels it either directly via the mailing service or by sending us a cancellation request by email.

Electronic appointment calendar

We use an electronic calendar appointment booking system supplied to our Shopify platform by Servicify. According to Servicify's privacy protection policy, the service collects information from the person making the calendar reservation that is necessary for the operation of the calendar reservation system. This information includes, for example, the e-mail address and name of the person making the calendar reservation. Servicify operates outside the EU, for example in the USA and Canada, and the calendar reservation maker's information is processed in these countries. You can read Servicify's terms of use here. You can ask Servicify to see the information they collect about you, and you can also ask them to delete it.

You can also make an appointment by phone or email if you do not want to use the electronic appointment service provided by Servicify.
